Your privacy is important to Reiland Legal, LLC (“RL”). This privacy policy (the “Policy”) contains information about how RL (also referred to herein as “we” or “us”) collects, uses, and discloses information that may identify you or that contains information reasonably associated with you (collectively, “Personal Information”), whether through this website (the “Site”) or otherwise through our relationship with you. Please note that this Policy does not address – and RL is not responsible for – the privacy practices of any third parties, including without limitation any third party who operates a website to which the Site contains a link.
By using the Site or providing Personal Information to us, you thereby consent to RL’s collection, use, and disclosure of information as described herein.
Information We Might Collect About You
Each time you initiate contact with us through the Site (including without limitation by clicking the “Contact” link on the Site, emailing us, downloading or accessing material on the Site, or otherwise), we may, directly or indirectly through one or more service providers, collect certain Personal Information as required or appropriate relating to that action. Specifically, we may collect one or more of the following categories of Personal Information from or about you:

Please note, we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under 16 years old. Nor do we sell or share the Personal Information of those younger than 16 years old. If we learn that we have received Personal Information of someone younger than 16 years old, we will delete such Personal Information as soon as reasonably possible.

Emails we send you for marketing purposes may contain features that allow us to verify your identity, receipt, and opening of the email(s). You may opt out of receiving such emails at any time by (a) sending us an email address with the word “Unsubscribe” in the subject line, or (b) following instructions for opting out that are contained in any communication from us to you.

From time to time, RL may disclose certain Personal Information about those accessing the Site or otherwise communicating with RL in order to assist in RL’s business functions or purposes as follows:

The business functions or purposes of RL that may be served by disclosure as described in this section may include one or more of the following, as judged to be necessary or appropriate in RL’s reasonable discretion:
To comply with federal, state, local, or common-law statutes, ordinances, laws, or regulations (collectively, “Laws”) or to comply with legal process
To protect RL’s rights or interests under any Laws
To interact with our vendors or service providers who are asked to or do perform services on our behalf
To one or more third parties in the event of a contemplated or consummated merger, sale, transfer, reorganization, or other disposition of all or any part of RL’s business
Retention and Security of Personal Information We Collect
If we collect your Personal Information, we may keep your Personal Information for as long as we determine necessary or appropriate considering the purpose for which it was collected (bearing in mind, among other factors, the nature of any legal obligations between you and us and whether we have an ongoing relationship or the likelihood of an ongoing relationship), and subject to any laws limiting the duration of such retention. We may, on the other hand, elect to delete your Personal Information at any time without notice, for any or no reason at all.
All Personal Information that we collect is stored in accordance with industry-standard practices that are designed to, among other things, protect Personal Information from unauthorized use, release, or disclosure. If, at any time, you believe that your Personal Information collected by RL may have been compromised, please contact us immediately using the “Contact” link on our Site.
For Residents of Certain States
California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah
Pursuant to the California Consumer Privacy Act, the California Privacy Rights Act, the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, the Colorado Privacy Act, the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, and the Utah Consumer Privacy Act (collectively, “Certain States Privacy Laws”), you have the following rights with respect to the collection, use, and retention of your Personal Information by websites that are subject to Certain States Privacy Laws:
The right to know and access your Personal Information. You can access the categories of Personal Information collected about you by the owner of a site (a “Site Owner”), the categories of sources utilized to collect Personal Information about you, the business purpose(s) for which the Site Owner has collected, sold, or shared your Personal Information, the categories of third parties to whom the Site Owner has disclosed your Personal Information, and the specific Personal Information that was collected about you.
The right to deletion of your Personal Information. You can request that the Site Owner delete Personal Information it (or in some cases, others) have collected about you; provided, however that the Site Owner may be required to retain certain such information notwithstanding your request, and the Site Owner may need to retain certain such information in order to comply with its privacy policy.
The right to opt out of sales or sharing of your Personal Information. You can request that a Site Owner does not sell or share your Personal Information. You can also request that a Site Owner inform you of any of your Personal Information it has previously sold or shared, and the categories of those to or with whom it has sold or shared it.
The right to correction of your Personal Information. You can request that a Site Owner correct any information about you that it has collected that is inaccurate.
The right to limited use of sensitive Personal Information. In some cases, Site Owners cannot use your sensitive Personal Information without your permission. In other cases, you can request that Site Owners narrowly tailor their use of sensitive information about you to only that which is necessary to provide the services that you or a reasonably representative consumer have requested from that Site Owner.
The right to non-discrimination. Site Owners cannot discriminate against you in any way (including without limitation by refusing to provide you with services or by charging you a higher price) based on your exercise of rights under Certain States Privacy Laws.
If you wish to exercise your rights under Certain States Privacy Laws on behalf of yourself or a minor for whom you are responsible with respect to RL’s Site, you may contact us using the address noted on our “Contact” page, and in any email you send, stating in the subject line of your email “Exercise of Rights Under Certain States Privacy Laws”, and including in the body of your email the following information: (i) your full name; (ii) your email address used to communicate with RL; (ii) your full relationship with RL; and (iv) the state you currently reside in. If RL cannot verify your identity based on the forgoing information, RL may need to communicate further with you in order to verify your identity, and if we are unable to verify your identity or entitlement to granting your request, we may at our election request additional information or reject your request. If you have engaged another person to exercise your rights as contemplated by this paragraph, you must include along with your email evidence of such engagement in the form of an executed power of attorney or equivalent document.
Please note, RL does not “sell” Personal Information as that term is used under Certain States Privacy Laws. Please also note that our Site does not recognize “do not track” requests that are initiated by certain browsers or smartphone settings.
